CBD is a powerful plant extract that has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is one of the many phytocannabinoids found in the hemp plant. CBD comes from the flowers of the hemp plant and is commonly extracted in the form of oil. This oil can then be used in many ways— like our softgels, tinctures, salves, and more. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the compound from cannabis plants that cause those “high” feelings. Our products contain ZERO THC.

Our bodies have something called the endocannabinoid system. It regulates many of our physical processes and helps maintain overall wellness. It has been found to regulate sleep, mood, glucose metabolism, pain receptors, stress, bone density, and more.

CBD can act as a neurotransmitter. Neurotransmitters help to regulate bodily systems at a cellular level. CBD has been shown to have effects on a wide array of systems in the human body, such as the immune system, the nervous system, the endocrine system, the cardiovascular system, the digestive system, the heart, liver, and kidneys, the epidermis, and others. CBD is also known to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Clinical studies have shown that CBD can help regulate the endocannabinoid system for improved wellness.  Read more at Project CBD.

All Osiris oil products are made from PCR hemp, contain zero THC, and can be shipped to all 50 U.S. states. However, CBD oil made from marijuana can only be purchased in states with medical marijuana programs.

No. Properly produced CBD oil from hemp does not contain THC in high enough concentrations to cause a high. All of our products have ZERO THC.

All of the products sold by Osiris are 100% THC free. This is confirmed on our internal lab reports and the third-party reports done on every batch we sell. Our third-party reports are conducted by the most advanced ISO certified cannabis testing labs in the United States. You will not test positive for THC if the lab testing your urine or blood is an advanced testing lab.

The same cannot be said about drug test kits purchased online or at retail stores. These test kits are not advanced enough to distinguish between THC and CBD.

If you ever test positive for THC in a situation that matters, immediately go to a local lab in your area and have them take a urine or blood sample. This will allow you to show evidence that you did not have THC in your blood.

If you would like to see our internal and third-party labs, visit our Lab Results page or send us an email.

The term broad spectrum refers to CBD oil products that contain a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial compounds found in phytocannabinoid-rich (PCR) hemp.

While many CBD oil products are made using CBD isolate, our broad spectrum oils maintain the same concentrations of these beneficial compounds that are found in the original PCR hemp plant, but without the THC.

full spectrum CBD product still contains trace amounts of THC, which can flag positive on drug tests.

Yes. Osiris products are grown using organic methods and contain other organically grown ingredients. All of our products are vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

Chromatography is a way of separating and purifying all chemical compounds, not just colors, taking advantage of their differences in properties.

More specifically liquid, column, or flash chromatography is a practical and straightforward way to purify a substance from a complex mixture (a natural extract or chemical reaction) by passing it through an inert solid called silica, or silicon dioxide. The different compounds in the mixture will have different degrees of attraction, or stickiness, to the silica, and will pass through it at different rates.

Osiris takes the extra step to remove THC through the Chromatography process. This ensures a high quality, broad spectrum product without THC.

Phytocannabinoids can be used to supplement or replace chemicals inside our bodies, called endocannabinoids.

When the nervous system or immune system do not work as intended because of endocannabinoid deficiency, phytocannabinoids used as supplements help with restoring the proper functionality of the central nervous system and immune system.

This is primarily due to the phytocannabinoids activating the CB1 and CB2 receptors, which in turn regulate the cognitive and immune functions.

In its natural state, CBD oil is not water soluble. However, Osiris balms are made with a patented process which encapsulates the CBD oil into nano-sized emulsion particles which are water soluble, allowing the CBD oil to be carried by the bloodstream and easily absorbed into tissues.

The FDA recently approved a CBD-based drug called Epidiolex for the treatment of particular types of difficult-to-treat seizure disorders. CBD has not been approved by the FDA as a treatment for other conditions at this time. However, studies are underway on CBD’s effects on a wide variety of conditions. Terpenes and many of the other ingredients in Osiris products have been approved by the FDA for human consumption.

Medical cannabis is another term for medical marijuana. Marijuana contains THC, which is a cannabinoid that causes a “high”. Medical cannabis can cause severe impairments.

CBD is not psychotropic, meaning that it does not cause a high. It can be used while working, driving or undertaking any other physical activities such as exercise and sports.

Broad spectrum CBD users report a wide range of benefits, including improved mood, reduced anxiety and stress, reduced pain and many others.

These benefits are usually greater than the benefits provided by non-broad spectrum products, such as those containing CBD isolate. All Osiris products contain broad-spectrum CBD oil. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.

Yes, CBD is safe for pets. However, the size and activity level of your pet will determine the optimal dosage.

Pets can range in weight from under a pound for rodents to many hundreds of pounds for animals such as horses. Some pets are pretty much sedentary and don’t get much exercise, while others are highly active and have a much higher metabolism.

It’s a good idea to talk with a veterinarian who is familiar with CBD’s medicinal uses before you give your pet CBD oil.
